BATTERYLENS / PRIVACY POLICY

BatteryLens privacy, stated plainly.

This policy explains how the BatteryLens iPhone app handles information to observe Charge Sessions, store Battery Samples, and correlate screen activity on your device.

Effective date: August 4, 2026

01 Scope

Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how BatteryLens handles information to record Battery Samples, build Charge Sessions, show Coverage, and present Usage Intervals — including Manual snapshots you enter and activity views under Private Report Mode.

It does not govern Apple platforms, the App Store, Screen Time infrastructure, or the apps and services you use on your iPhone.

02 Information processed

Information processed

Battery Samples and Charge Sessions (on device)

When BatteryLens is active, it records Battery Samples and assembles Charge Sessions locally in the app sandbox on your iPhone. Duration labels (Measured, Estimated, or Manual) and Coverage are derived from those on-device records.

Manual snapshots

When you enter a Manual battery snapshot, that value is stored locally as user-provided data. Gurfus does not receive Manual entries on a server.

Screen Time and Private Report Mode

BatteryLens may present Usage Intervals using Apple’s protected Screen Time UI, which renders on your device within Apple’s on-device boundaries. Gurfus does not receive the contents of those protected reports on a Gurfus server.

No BatteryLens account is required, and no account information is requested by Gurfus.

Gurfus does not use analytics or advertising SDKs in BatteryLens.

03 Use and storage

Use and storage

Battery history — Battery Samples, Charge Sessions, Usage Intervals, and Manual snapshots — is stored locally on your iPhone. Gurfus does not operate a BatteryLens cloud backend that receives your battery history for sync.

Data is used to show observed charge duration, Coverage, and correlated screen activity within the app. BatteryLens does not claim per-app battery causality or unavailable telemetry such as charging wattage or battery temperature.

04 Your choices

Your choices

  • Delete local data: Remove BatteryLens data through in-app controls where available, or by removing the app.
  • Remove the app: Removing BatteryLens from your device clears local app data according to iOS behavior.
  • Private Report Mode: You control Screen Time permissions and protected-report boundaries through Apple settings.

Because Gurfus does not host your battery history, Gurfus cannot remotely access or delete your local Battery Samples or Charge Sessions.

05 Third-party platforms

Third-party platforms

BatteryLens relies on Apple platforms for battery state APIs, storage sandboxing, and Screen Time protected-report rendering. Apps and services you use on your iPhone have their own terms and policies.

06 Policy updates

Policy updates
